A prototype of a telescopic pole for wind energy production with low environmental impact and its lifting system for a 60 to 250 kW turbine and a height of 30 m have been designed and manufactured. A telescopic tower, which is raised and lowered by automation or by remote control, allows to differentiate the presence of the generator within the landscape over time. Design of a second generation RFQ Ion Cooler and Buncher (RFQCB) for ISOLDE

As a part of the ISOLDE Consolidation project, a new beam-cooling device will be incorporated into the High Resolution Separator (HRS) to improve the ion beam delivered to the experiments. The whole beam line at this point needs to be redesigned to accommodate the ion cooler and provide beam-matching. In this paper the status of the mechanical design, the optical design and the vacuum system of the device are presented.

Design and Calculations for the New ECRIS at KVI

In this paper a brief description is given of the on‐going upgrade of the CAPRICE‐type ECRIS injector of the K=600 AGOR cyclotron at KVI. This upgrade is motivated by the new TRIμP program, which requires a significant increase of available beam intensity by up to two orders in magnitude. The upgrade follows the AECR design of the university of Jyvaskyla, which was originally pioneered at LBNL (USA). We will discuss the mechanical design and magnetic field calculations of the solenoidal and the permanent magnetic hexapole fields.
